Open Door Community Church

Our sanctuary is dedicated to Pastor Randy Eddy-McCain’s father Randal McCain, Sr.  At the dedication ceremony, Randy’s mother Marcel said:

“I have been so excited this weekend, just thinking about it, that God has given us this place to meet and worship Him every Sunday. Isn’t it wonderful?  God is a good god. He loves each one of us just as we are.  He love you that way. You’re an original to God, and He loves you. So don’t ever get down and think nobody cares for you, because God is there and God loves you.”

Then she continued in prayer:

“Our heavenly Father, we pray that you will bless this congregation. I pray that your work will go on and out from this church. Let this be a filling station for your people who are working for you. Keep them close to you, Lord. Let them feel your love, and God protect them from all harm.

I pray that you will keep this church as a special place, so that when people come into this building, they will feel your presence. Oh! God! bless the pastor. And Jesus, go with him and all who are standing behind him. Stand with them and bless them. May the news of this church spread out into this community, Lord, that people may know that there is something unusual going on at Open Door Church.

It’s all because of your love, Lord. Help this church to be a beacon of light to the surrounding communities, and may it be a well– known church because of the work that is being done and the blessings that are coming forth from this church.

We dedicate it to you right now, Lord. You’ve given this church to us and now we give it back to you. We love you, Lord and praise you in Jesus’ name.

Amen.”
